GASTRIC JUICES

Gastric juice is a unique combination of hydrochloric acid (HCI), lipase, and pepsin. Its main function is to inactivate swallowed microorganisms to inhibit infectious agents from reaching the intestine. 

 

GEOTHERMAL

Geothermal energy is heat within the earth. Geothermal energy can be harnessed as a source of renewable electricity and as directly for heating and cooling applications. 

 

GHG (GREEN HOUSE GAS) EMISSIONS

GHG Emissions are gases in the earth's atmosphere that trap heat. Greenhouse gases absorb infrared radiation and trap its heat in the atmosphere, creating a greenhouse effect resulting in global warming and climate change.

 

GLYCEMIC INDEX

Glycemic is a measure of the increase in the level of blood glucose (a type of sugar) caused by eating a specific carbohydrate (food that contains sugar) compared with eating a standard amount of glucose. Foods with a high glycemic index release glucose quickly and cause a rapid rise in blood glucose.

 

GMO (GENETICALLY MODIFIED ORGANISM)

GMO is a plant, animal, or microbe where one or more changes have been made to the genome, typically using high-tech genetic engineering, in an attempt to alter the characteristics of an organism.  A genome is the entire set of DNA instructions found in a cell and contains all the information needed for an individual to develop and function. 

 

GMP (GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES)

GMP is a system designed to ensure that products are consistently produced and controlled according to established quality standards. 

 

GREEN ENERGY

Green energy is any energy type that is generated from natural resources, such as sunlight, wind, or water. 

 

GREEN TRIPE

Tripe is the nutrient-rich stomach lining of an animal. Green Tripe means it isn't bleached or processed in any way.
