Pet Safety is Redbarn’s Priority
Redbarn is a small, family-owned business at heart but when it comes to quality assurance, they are a giant, family-owned business.
Redbarn promises to continue investing both time and money into their research and development, sourcing, manufacturing, and testing.
- Redbarn has formed lasting relationships with farmers, ranchers, and fisherman allowing them to self-source natural, sustainable ingredients
- They’ve invested in multiple company-owned and operated kitchens allowing them to effectively implement safety and quality standards.
- They have their own talented, dedicated QA team members which allows them to monitor quality and safety of every batch they prepare.
Leading the Pet Food Industry for Over 25 Years:
In the early 90s owners, Jeff and Howie, saw a need for wholesome, high-quality dog food, and in 1996 they co-founded what is known today as Redbarn Pet Products. Their love for creating wholesome, trustworthy pet foods has grown to a family of 500 members and over 200 foods, treats, and chews.
For over 25 years, Redbarn has been a family-owned business, and they are committed to staying that way. They aren’t just a strong team - they’re a family.
Multiple US Production Facilities and Over 9 Warehouses:
After a few years of making products out of their kitchens in the US and Canada, they realized it was time for more space. Both decided to merge operations to Southern California under one roof. It was time to take their grassroots approach to new heights.
Redbarn Guarantees Their Highly Sought After Chews Come From Best Quality Beef:
More growth meant more opportunity and by 2004, Redbarn purchased a bully stick manufacturing plant in Paraguay. By purchasing this plant, Redbarn was able to guarantee their highly sought-after chews came from the best quality beef— grass-fed, free-range cows— at an affordable price.
Redbarn Success Requires Additional State-of-the-Art Manufacturing Plants:
By 2010, the Long Beach facility outgrew its manufacturing capabilities, leading to a second manufacturing plant purchase in Kansas. This new plant includes:
By 2019, history repeated itself when another opportunity for expansion arrived. The team acquired a new facility in Rochester, New York. This new plant equipped Redbarn:
Redbarn Provides Cats with High-Quality Wholesome Foods:
In 2014, it was time for Redbarn to meet the needs of a different type of pet parent with Redbarn’s Grain-Free Cat Food and treats. Just like Redbarn’s dog food and treats, it was important for this new line of products to go through the same Quality Assurance standards to ensure safety and integrity.
Redbarn Dedication to Helping Pets in Need:
Redbarn started with the belief that all pets deserve high-quality, natural food and treats. For the past twenty-five years, Redbarn has donated food, treats, and chews to shelters, rescue groups, and pet-related organizations to help support animals in need.
Redbarn Commitment to Helping Pet Parents & Sharing Knowledge They’ve Gained Through Years of Experience:
The Redbarn family remembers the frustration of trying to find natural dog and cat food and treats with honest marketing. It’s why they value integrity and transparency today. They take the extra time to conduct necessary research, to ensure a product is 100 percent safe, and to make sure they’re truthful in every statement they make.
Natural is not just a trend for Redbarn. It’s a philosophy baked into the company’s founding back in 1996. Their family cooks products that not only speak to current trends or desires, but genuinely help support the health, wellness, and longevity of pets.
There is an increasing interest of pet parents wanting to learn more about the nutritional and functional benefits of what they feed their pets. Through Redbarn’s educational blog content, social media channels, in-store materials (and more!), they look forward to helping people become an educated pet parent, whether you choose Redbarn Pet Products or not.
