If you’re wondering why we’re here…

We’re here because of Maddie, the hearty Spaniel who inspired us to create a movement towards better nutrition – for her, as well as for all other four-legged companions in Western Canada and beyond.

Like many before her, Maddie made an entrance into her senior years with slow and painful steps. After ten years of consuming mediocre pet foods (as these were the only products available in Canada at the time), her health had been seriously compromised. Lethargic and unable to stand or walk, it seemed inevitable that Maddie would soon be passing on – except her owners weren’t quite ready to let her.

They researched, studied, and questioned pet nutrition in North America until they found that healthy, natural pet foods did exist. This discovery took them on numerous trips across the US border in an effort to make a dramatic improvement in the health of their pets. With such a positive change in nutrition, in a matter of months Maddie was standing and walking on her own. Eventually she even returned to the hiking trails of the peaceful North Shore Mountains. Proper nutrition had given her the gift of four more healthful years. During this process, she earned the respected title of “Chief Tasting Officer” – while the idea of a new distribution company was being conceived.
